Our flagship projects drive Canary Global’s mission forward — advancing the search for life, building innovative telescope platforms, and connecting science with communities worldwide
The ExoLife Finder (ELF) is a revolutionary 30m+ class telescope designed to detect biosignatures and technosignatures on Earth-like exoplanets. It complements missions like the TMT and ELT by pioneering new frontiers in high-contrast imaging and interferometry.
SELF (Small ELF), a working prototype, is currently under construction at Teide Observatory, paving the way for its larger successor.
ELF is led by its own scientific consortium with teams for both technical development and outreach. Canary Global (CG) collaborates closely with project partners—such as LIOM, GSU and others shown below—to support visibility, global engagement, and philanthropic fundraising across the Americas, Spain, and beyond.
The Two-Meter Twin Telescope (TTT) is a core partner with four telescopes (two 2m and two 0.8m), advanced adaptive optics, a dedicated data center, and ultra-fast communications — enabling real-time science, cutting-edge imaging, and global STEM access”
