Canary Global develops collaborative programs connecting research, education, and operational telescope infrastructure, enabling a new model of AI-driven, globally accessible discovery.

Living Sky Observatory is Canary Global’s flagship initiative to transform telescopes into intelligent, networked discovery systems

Starting with the Two-Meter Twin Telescope (TTT), the program develops and validates new approaches to AI-enabled scientific operations, combining autonomy, real-time data, and human oversight to ensure scientific integrity.

Mission: Exoplanets connects students and educators with real astronomical data and the science of exoplanet discovery.

Through international collaborations and hands-on research experiences, participants engage directly with modern astronomy, data science, and the search for habitable worlds.

Project Overdrive explores new computational and observational approaches to discovering faint objects in the outer solar system and beyond.

The project combines telescope observations, advanced algorithms, and collaborative data analysis to develop new pathways for discovery in data-rich, low-signal environments.

The ELF/SELF Mission

The ExoLife Finder (ELF) is is a next-generation telescope concept designed to detect biosignatures and technosignatures on Earth-like exoplanets.

SELF (Small ELF), currently under development at Teide Observatory, serves as a pathfinder for these technologies.

Canary Global collaborates with the ELF consortium and partners, including LIOM, IAC, and others , to support global engagement, visibility, and philanthropic expansion.

cORE INFRASTRUCTURE: THE TWO-METER TWIN TELESCOPE (TTT)

The Two-Meter Twin Telescope (TTT), operated by Light Bridges, is a foundational partner and real-time observatory platform for Canary Global.

With four telescopes (two 2m and two 0.8m), an edge datacenter, and high-speed communications, TTT enables:

  • Real-time observations and rapid retargeting
  • High-resolution and wide-field imaging modes
  • Instrumentation testing and technology development
  • Remote access for researchers, educators, and students

TTT serves as both an operational facility and a testbed for next-generation astronomical systems.
